Kedden-szerdán volt az egyetemen
egy általunk rendezett konferencia elektrokémia témakörben. Tartottam is egy
kis előadást. Este pedig a vendég kutatókkal elmentünk közösen vacsorázni az
Anker (horgony) nevű óvárosban található kellemes kis étterembe. Az étterem
közelében található a híres szobor, amin egy ember gyerekeket eszik (sajna a
sztorit nem találtam meg, hogy miért eszik gyerekeket, de majd utánajárok).
Kellemes este volt.
Csütörtökön munka után Ariannával
és Viloval kiültünk kicsit az Unitoblerhez beszélgetni, ahol több
kollegával-cimborával össze is futottunk.
Szombat reggel végre valahára
neki indultunk a Creux du van-nak vagyis a svájci „Grand Canyon”-nak. Ez a
remek látványosság mintegy bő órányi vonatozásra található Berntől, Neuchatel
közelében a Jura hegységben. Noirague helyes kis falujába mentünk hát a
vonattal, majd onnan indultunk neki a hegynek. Ez már itten bőven a francia
svájc, szóval itt „bonjour” a helyi köszönés, és a túristák is franciául
másszák a hegyet. 14 km es túra volt több mint 700 méteres szintkülönbséggel. A
felfele vezető út reggelizéssel telt, mivel majdnem végig málna bokrok kísértek
a felfele kanyargó szerpentinen. A csúcsra érve elénk tárult a fantasztikus
látvány, szóval meg is pihentünk és onnantól kezdve a kanyon túl oldaláig
állandóan mindenki a fotómasinájával kattogott. Az egész nap remek és csodás
volt sok nevetéssel és mókával és természetesen nem utolsó sorban a gyönyörű
tájjal. Aki erre jár mindenképpen menjen el ide.
Ja, amúgy megtudtuk, hogy mivel lehet boldoggá tenni egy geológust. Nem kell hozzá semmi más, csak narancssárga gomba, málna és kövek (és persze egy kalapács amivel széttörheti őket). De persze ha van nálad egy dinoszaurusz az sem hátrány...
Este lementem Kevin születésnapjára is még egy kicsit, majd pedig egy jó nagyot pihentem.

On Tuesday-Wednesday we organised
an electrochemical conference in our department. I also held a small
presentation there. During the evening we went out for a dinner with the guest
scientists into the oldtown, into the restaurant Anker. Near to the restaurant
there is a statue with a fountain, and it illustrates a man, who eating
children. Unfortunatelly I didn’t find the story of this statue, but I will
make some research why that guy do that…
On Thursday after the work, we
went out a bit with Arianna and Vilo to the Unitobler where we also met with
other friends.
On Saturday finally we went to
make a trip in the famous Creux du van (in the swiss „Grand Canyon). This stuff
is around one hour from Bern by train, close to Neuchatel, int he Jura
mountain. We started our trip from the nice village called Noiraigue. (This is
already the french part of switzerland, so „Bonjour” was the common greeting.
We walked around 14 kms and we made more then 700 meters altitude difference.
The way up to the mountain was nice, because there were raspberry bushes
everywhere next to the path. (The half of the mountain was a big raspberry
bush). When we reached the top, we started to wondering int he amazing view. Of
course we made a fewhundred pictures. And we couldn’t stop making pictures. It
was an amazing and fantastic day with a lots of smile and fun, and with the
amazing nature. If somebody around this place by all means should go here.
Oh, by the way we learned how to make a geologist happy. You just need to offer orange mushrooms, raspberries, and stones (and a hammer cause she should break the stones to investigate them). But of course if you have a dinosaur with yourself its also a good option.
I also went down to celebrate my friend, Kevin's birthday. Afterwards i came home for a big big rest.
